‘You should read your daily intel briefs’: Anthony Bourdain mocks Trump’s Sweden comments

Anthony Bourdain: food scholar, jiu jitsu enthusiast, and now outspoken Trump critic.

In the wake of the President’s remarks that hinted towards a terror incident that occurred in Sweden — which didn’t happen — Bourdain mentioned Trump’s infamous disdain for intelligence briefings and suggested that if he took them more seriously, he wouldn’t be creating fictional events.

“You might consider actually reading your daily intel brief . Or I dunno, ask around the office,” Bourdain tweeted in response to Trump, who justified his Sweden comments by saying he’d heard of the incident first on Fox News.

At his rally in Florida this Saturday, Trump referred to incidents in Germany and Sweden as the rationale for his travel ban on seven Muslim-majority countries.

“When you look at what’s happening in Germany, when you look at what’s happening last night in Sweden — Sweden!” he said during the rally. “Who would believe this? Sweden! They took in large numbers, they’re having problems like they never thought possible.”

Bourdain has been a vocal critic of the Trump administration and has promised to boycott the restaurants at Trump’s D.C. hotel.
