Alex Jones says the DOJ is going after his cat in bankruptcy proceedings: ‘Taking my cat is a line in the sand’

Infowars founder and career conspiracy theorist Alex Jones is planning to fight the Department of Justice over after he declared bankruptcy after a court ordered him to pay $1.5 billion in damages to relatives of victims in the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting.

Revelations in his bankruptcy proceedings show that he still spends almost $100,000 a month and has $10 million in assets. Included in Jones’ spending expenses was his cat — a ragdoll breed called Mushu, the Daily Beast reported.

“OK, so this is not a joke, this is real and it really happened … They spent probably five minutes of the meeting that was over 3 hours long, on my cat. They wanted to know if assets were hidden in the cat,” Jones said is a recently uploaded video, adding that the cat cost around $2,000.

The DOJ was “very serious about the cat and its value and they may want the cat for Sandy Hook families,” Jones said.

“What? You want my children next? You want to sacrifice my children or something?” Jones said. “It makes me really upset for this country. Now they want my cat. The line in the sand is, you cannot have my cat.”
