Anderson Cooper: Trump is like an ‘obese turtle on his back flailing in the hot sun realizing it’s over’

MSNBC, NPR, and NBC cut away from President Trump during a statement he gave in the White House press room this Thursday that was laced with falsehoods. Trump claimed, without substantial evidence, that his now-dwindling numbers in the 2020 election are due to sabotage.

CNN, however, aired Trump’s remarks in full, and network anchor Anderson Cooper shared his thoughts afterward.

“I don’t think we’ve ever seen anything like this from a President of the United States,” Cooper said.

“…you’ll notice that the President did not have any evidence presented at all — nothing — no real, actual evidence of any kind of fraud … That is the President of the United States, the most powerful person in the world, and we see him like an obese turtle on his back flailing in the hot sun, realizing his time is over, but he just hasn’t accepted it and he wants to take everybody down with him, including this country.”
