Ann Coulter: ‘Every Republican should commit suicide in solidarity with Trump’

Conservative author and commentator Ann Coulter took a shot at Republicans who support Donald Trump after Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk called for Trump’s rivals to drop out of the 2024 race in solidarity over his recent indictment.

After news of Trump’s indictment on Thursday, Kirk proposed that “every ‘Republican’ running for President should suspend their campaign and go to Miami as a show of support” for Trump.

“If you don’t, you are part of the problem,” Kirk tweeted, adding, “Either we have an opposition party or we don’t. GO to Miami Tuesday, and show [solidarity] or we will mark you as part of the [opposition].”

Coulter’s mocked Kirk’s tweet in a tweet of her own, writing, “That’s nothing! I’m calling on EVERY REPUBLICAN TO COMMIT SUICIDE in solidarity with Trump! Otherwise, we don’t have a country, folks.”

As Mediaite points out, a RealClearPolitics’ polling average shows Trump to be the clear frontrunner of the Republican primary at 53.2 percent, followed by Ron DeSantis at 22.4 percent, and Nikki Haley at 4.4percent.

Coulter has been a vocal critic of Trump despite supporting him in 2016 after he failed to fulfill his promise to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border. Now, Coulter has placed herself firmly in the Ron DeSantis camp for 2024.

This Friday, Trump became the first U.S. president to be indicted on federal charges.

According to news reports, thirty-one counts allege Trump willfully retained national defense information, which is a violation of the Espionage Act. The other six counts allege that he caused false statements to be made and conspired to conceal documents from investigators and obstruct justice.
