Anthony Scaramucci: Trump ‘turns on everyone, and soon he’ll turn on the country’

Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci took aim at President Trump on Twitter this Saturday, essentially telling his followers that his old boss is not to be trusted.

Scaramucci, who not too long ago was a vocal and consistent defender of Trump, kicked off the hostilities back in July when he called out the President on his attack against a group of progressive Democratic congresswomen as “racist and unacceptable.” As HuffPost points out, Scaramucci piled on this Thursday during an appearance on MSNBC, characterizing Trump’s visits to victims of the recent El Paso and Dayton mass shootings as a “catastrophe.”

As expected, Trump fired back, tweeting this Saturday that the “quickly terminated” Scaramucci is acting like an “all time expert on ‘President Trump.'”

“Like many other so-called television experts, he knows very little about me other than the fact that this Administration has probably done more than any other Administration in its first 2 1/2 years of existence,” Trump tweeted. “Anthony, who would do anything to come back in, should remember the only reason he is on TV, and it’s not for being the Mooch!”

In a now-deleted tweet, Scaramucci said that Trump’s latest attack on him was to be expected.

“For the last 3 years I have fully supported this President,” Scaramucci wrote. “Recently he has said things that divide the country in a way that is unacceptable. So I didn’t make the 100% litmus test. Eventually he turns on on everyone and soon it will be you and then the entire country.”
