AOC says more people watch her gaming online than watched Ron DeSantis’ disastrous Twitter stream

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) took a swipe at newly-announced presidential candidate Ron DeSantis, saying that more people watched her gaming online than his glitch-ridden Twitter 2024 campaign announcement that was hosted by Elon Musk and co-hosted by entrepreneur David Sacks.

AOC was responding to a tweet from Ben Collins of NBC News, who said Sacks’ claim that Ron DeSantis’ Twitter stream “was the largest group that ‘has ever met online.’” was “ludicrously made up.”

“There are 100,000 people in this thing,” Collins wrote.

“We had more people join when I played Among Us,” AOC chimed in.

According to reports, over 400,000 people watched AOC and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) play the game “Among Us” on the streaming platform Twitch in the lead-up to the 2020 election.
