AOC to Lauren Boebert: When did Jesus say to honor me by flexing with violent weapons?

After Colorado GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert posted a picture of her family carrying assault rifles in the wake of the Michigan school shooting, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) took to Twitter and gave her thoughts on the freshman congresswoman and gun rights advocate.

Boebert’s post was meant to support Thomas Massie (R-KY), who received pushback after he posted a similar photo of his armed family as a knock to gun control activists in the wake of the shooting where 15-year-old Ethan Crumbley killed four students and wounded seven others.

“The Boeberts have your six, @RepThomasMassie!” Boebert tweeted, adding “No spare ammo for you, though.

Responding to Boebert’s post, Ocasio-Cortez wrote: “Tell me again where Christ said ‘use the commemoration of my birth to flex violent weapons for personal political gain’?”

She also slammed the GOP for the time they “spent on cultural hysteria of society ‘erasing Christmas and its meaning’ when they’re doing that fine all on their own.”

“When you pose in front of a Christmas Tree and can name all those guns but can’t name the gifts of the Wise Men,” she added in a separate tweet.
