A video posted to social media shows a Black woman confronting a person sitting next to her on a flight who she saw sending a racist text message.
“You know what? I wasn’t going to say anything … but I decided I want you to feel as uncomfortable as I do,” the woman told a man off camera who she was sitting next to. “And I want you to know that I saw your text messages and I think you’re disgusting.”
“What text message?” the man responded.
“You know exactly what I’m talking about,” the woman fired back, saying that she didn’t want to repeat what the man wrote, repeating that she thought he was “disgusting.”
“You don’t have anything to say to that, right?” the woman says. “Yeah, I didn’t think so.”
According to the woman’ words, it seems like the man complained to someone in his text that he wasn’t allowed to sit next to his family on the flight, but was instead forced to sit next to a Black person.
The man eventually says he’s “so sorry,” but the woman was having none of it.
“You don’t have to be sorry to me, you’re sorry because I saw it.”
