Body cam video shows Georgia cop choking female inmate until she goes limp

A Georgia police force has released body camera footage this Friday showing an incident where an officer choked an inmate until she passed out, WSB-TV reported.

Former Fulton County detention officer Monique Clark, 31, was arrested June 6 for aggravated assault and violation of oath by a public officer, along with a misdemeanor count of reckless conduct.

The video shows a woman who was arrested for criminal trespass and public drunkenness being led out of a police cruiser on handcuffs. The woman,  Casey Bennett, can be heard repeatedly shouting expletives at the officer leading her out of the vehicle.

Once inside the booking area, Bennett continues to shout at officers, at one point saying, “I will hurt you!” to which an officer replies, “Many have tried.”

When officers ask Bennett to step over to the body scanner, she refuses, prompting officers to tell she can do things the “easy way or hard way.”

Bennett continued to shout expletives, and that when Clark helps Bennett out of the chair and walks her to the body scanner, and then grabs the back of Bennett’s neck from behind.

“Hold your face before you lose your breath,” Clark said. “The choice is yours!”

Bennett then can be seen collapsing to the ground unconscious.
