BREAKING: Donald Trump wins key endorsement in 2016 presidential race

The government of North Korea is praising the GOP presumptive nominee Donald Trump, saying that he’s a “far-sighted candidate” and a “wise politician” who could give the hermit kingdom a better foothold on the world stage.

Writing in an editorial for the DPRK, North Korea’s official media outlet, self-described “Chinese North Korean scholar” Han Yong-mook said that there are “many positive aspects to Trump’s ‘inflammatory policies.’”

“Trump said he will not get involved in the war between the South and the North, isn’t this fortunate from North Korea’ perspective?” the piece argues.

According to the Guardian, Analysts said that although the editorial was not an official message directly from Pyongyang, it’s a reliable insight into the thinking of NK’s government.

“This is very striking,” said Aidan Foster-Carter of the University of Leeds.“ Admittedly it is not exactly Pyongyang speaking, or at least not the DPRK government in an official capacity. But it is certainly Pyongyang flying a kite, or testing the waters.

“For the rest of us, this is a timely reminder – if it were needed – of just how completely Trump plans to tear up established US policy in the region,” he added.

The article lobbied hard against Hillary Clinton, calling on the American people not to give her their vote.

“The president that US citizens must vote for is not that dull Hillary – who claimed to adapt the Iranian model to resolve nuclear issues on the Korean Peninsula – but Trump, who spoke of holding direct conversation with North Korea.”

The editorial comes in the wake of North Korea calling for a dialogue with Seoul and the West. On May 17, Pyongyang published an official statement with the aim of improving relations with Seoul, telling the South Korean government that they are willing to resume inter-Korean military talks.
