Bristol Palin’s fiancée is on the defensive after he posted a photo to social media, showing him playing with a child while an unsecured handgun sits nearby.
Former Marine Dakota Meyer is holding the baby, identified as Rowan, with his gun sitting on a nearby lamp table.
“Just love the fact that there is a pistol laying on the little table behind you,” one person in the comment section of the post.
“That’s just how we roll haha,” replied Meyer.
Since the photo first gained attention, Meyer hasn’t responded to questions about the image form the media.

Bristol’s mother frequently speaks about how gun owners are mistakenly characterized as being irresponsible. At the 2010 convention of the National Rifle Association, for example, she complained that Hollywood was to blame for depicting gun owners as irresponsible. “Hollywood should look to its own business and clean it up, and then they can tell us how to live our lives,” she said.
