Capitol rioter who yelled ‘hang Pelosi’ on Jan 6 is slapped with over 2 years in prison

A Pennsylvania woman who screamed death threats targeting Nancy Pelosi as she stormed the U.S, Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, has been sentenced this Tuesday to over two years in prison, The San Diego Tribune reported.

Pauline Bauer, 55, was recorded on video shouting, “Bring Nancy Pelosi out!” as she and other rioters attempted to break into the Capitol building. She was convicted of all five charges brought against her back in January.

“Bring that f***ing b**ch out here now,” Bauer said during the riot, according to a Justice Department. “Bring her out. Bring her out here. We’re coming in if you don’t bring her out here.”

“They’re criminals. They need to hang,” she screamed. “Bring Nancy Pelosi out here now. We want to hang [Pelosi]. Bring her out.”

Bauer was charged with several federal crimes, including violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, obstruction of an official proceeding, and trespassing on restricted grounds. The court found that Bauer’s actions were not peaceful, but instead were intended to disrupt the peaceful transition of power and to intimidate members of Congress.

“Bauer’s threat to hang Speaker Pelosi was real, imminent, and placed the Speaker of the House in danger,” prosecutor James Peterson wrote in a court filing.

Bauer traveled from Pennsylvania home to attend then-President Donald Trump’s “Stop the Steal” rally in Washington on Jan. 6. She had attended a “Stop the Steal” rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the day before.

The judge sentenced her to two years and three months in prison, giving her credit for time served.
