Former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton is making a name for herself on Twitter. This Friday, she took down what is probably the biggest Twitter beast ever, namely the President of the United States.
This past weekend, a huge backlash erupted over Trump’s decision to have his daughter Ivanka sit in for him during a meeting the G20 summit. Taking to Twitter to defend his daughter, he said that when he left the conference room “for short meetings with Japan and other countries,” he asked Ivanka “to hold seat.”
“Very standard. Angela [Merkel] agrees!” Trump tweeted, referring to a statement from Merkel where she said Ivanka taking Trump’s seat is “in line with what other delegations do.”
In a subsequent tweet, Trump used Clinton in a what-if scenario, tweeting, “If Chelsea Clinton were asked to hold the seat for her mother,as her mother gave our country away, the Fake News would say CHELSEA FOR PRES!”

In a tweet that as of this writing has garnered over 200,000 likes and almost 100,000 retweets, Clinton shot back saying, “Good morning Mr. President. It would never have occurred to my mother or my father to ask me. Were you giving our country away? Hoping not.”

This is why Twitter is great and terrible at the same time.
