Conservative Christian activist and actor Kirk Cameron will be releasing his second children’s book that’s set to go on shelves June 1, which is the first day of Pride Month, The Christian Post reported.
The book, titled, Pride Comes Before the Fall, is “a story of a tiger named Valor and his partner named Kevin. They need to learn the lesson of humility,” Cameron told a group of children at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina over the weekend.
June 1also marks the first day of the American Library Association’s Rainbow Book Month, “a nationwide celebration of the authors and writings that reflect the lives and experiences of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, pansexual, genderqueer, queer, intersex, agender, and asexual community.”
Cameron’s book will be published through Brave Books, a conservative children’s book publisher which published Cameron’s first children’s book, As You Grow, which was a “fun story with brilliant art” that “teaches the Biblical truths of the Fruit of the Spirit” and tells the story of “Sky Tree’s journey from a small acorn to a mighty tree that provides shade, sustenance, and lodging!”
Speaking to Fox News last year, Cameron said libraries’ hosting of drag queen story hours and their refusal to host a story hour for his book is “proof that more than ever, we are getting destroyed in the battle for the hearts and minds of our children.”
