Christian pastor: Coronavirus is God’s revenge on ‘75 million unmarried couples living together in the US’

On Thursday’s edition of The Jim Bakker Show, End Times pastor Irvin Baxter warned that the coronavirus pandemic is God’s form of payback for the sin of fornication, Right Wing Watch reports.

“There are 7.5 million unmarried couples living together in the United States,” Baxter claimed, without providing any sources for his information. “That means 15 million people are living together unmarried, and that’s increased over the last ten years by 138 percent.”

And, Baxter said, according to his findings, a mere “five percent of new brides in America are virgins. That means 95 percent have already committed fornication.”

“God is not mocked,” he warned while citing 1 Corinthians 6, which names a laundry list of sins, stating that “neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, will inherit the kingdom of God.”

Baxter offered a stern warning for those who aren’t inheriting God’s kingdom.

“God may be using this as a wake-up call. This coronavirus may be a privilege because I will tell you right now, there is a much bigger judgment coming.”
