Christian pastor: Coronavirus ‘reckoning’ is because of gay marriage and abortion

It’s only been a few days since right-wing charismatic pastor Perry Stone declared that demonic forces are using the coronavirus to kill elderly Americans because they are skeptical about the bible. But this time, Stone, who’s pastor of Perry Stone Ministries in Cleveland, Tennessee, is claiming coronavirus is punishment for legalizing abortion and same-sex marriage.

“So why is there a reckoning? I’m going to explain it in these simple terms — there’s a reckoning because the courts of the land passed a law to take an infant’s life, that it was okay — and for marriage, that we have known it — to be changed into something we’ve never known,” he said at a recent service. “And both of their laws, biblically, in Leviticus and Deuteronomy, are what God calls an abomination. … But there will be a time when the Lord says ‘enough is enough.'”

That’s not all he had to say, according to Right Wing Watch.

He also asserted that states with elected leaders who oppose President Trump are suffering large outbreaks of coronavirus, whereas states with leaders who don’t oppose him are not.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, San Francisco and Los Angeles were at the top of his list.

“San Francisco is one of the first cities in the entire United States to go into self-quarantine — you know, you’ve got to stay off the street — and it is a district of a woman named Nancy Pelosi.”

“New York is probably getting ready to have a shutdown, which is the area of Chuck Schumer,” Stone added. “California, the Los Angeles area, I just got word there is a good possibility … they’re going to be shut down.”
