Christian pastor promises to heal parishioners who get coronavirus at his packed services

Over 1,800 people attended service at Life Tabernacle Church in Central, Louisiana, this Sunday even as the coronavirus outbreak continues to spiral out of control across the U.S.

Declaring that the coronavirus can healed by the power of Jesus, Pastor Tony Spell said that his church is a staple in the community and can’t afford to close.

“That is our command, they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover,” Spell said.

According to a report from Baton Rouge Proud, there was no social distancing at the service and all 1,825 people in attendance were “spread across the campuses seven buildings.” During the service, parishioners could be seen “touching each other and closely gathering,” with very few of them wearing masks or gloves.

Spell even promised to heal anyone who becomes infected with coronavirus as a result of attending his services.

“I’m going to address that by laying hands on them and praying for them and depending on God to heal their body,” he said.
