Designer creates wooden automation machine that perfectly mimics water drops

Sometimes we come across things on the Internet that are so interesting, we absolutely have to share it even though it’s hard to frame it in the right category.

If someone told you they saw a video where a wooden contraption perfectly mimicked the flowing movements of a water drop, your eyes would probably glaze over a little. Well, that happened to a few of us before we actually saw it. Our eyes glazed over again, but this time it was because we were completely hypnotized by the calming beauty of this brilliant creation.

The manually-controlled wooden automation machine was inspired by the work of Reuben Margolin and created by designer Dean O’Callaghan.
