Donald Trump is visiting Los Angeles today, and considering that Trump piñatas are selling like hotcakes, there are a lot people who’d like to take a swing at the 2016 GOP candidate.

Protesters plan to unwelcome Trump this afternoon with trash-filled piñatas made to look like the billionaire, but they’re having a hard time tracking down enough for the fiesta. In the wake of Trump’s racist remarks suggesting that Mexican immigrants are rapists and criminals, the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA) is planning a demonstration outside the Luxe Hotel in Brentwood where Trump plans to speak to Hollywood conservatives tonight. And while the group has managed to assemble a few blonde-quaffed, suited Trump piñatas (Trumpiñatas?), stores across L.A. can’t keep them in stock. Maybe there’s a lot of Trump-themed quinceañeras planned for this weekend?
“Every time we bring one out, it doesn’t last more than half an hour in the store. We have a lot of orders. People come buy them and say they can’t find them anywhere else,” Luis Marin of Amazing Piñatas downtown told the L.A. Weekly.
CHIRLA requested that the Luxe Hotel to cancel Trump’s event. But since that’s unlikely, the group plans to gather at the Luxe Hotel at 4:30pm this afternoon with as many Trump piñatas and sticks in hand.
