Don’t look now, but this scary creature is most likely living in your pubic hair

The crab louse (Pthirus Pubis), also known as the pubic louse, is an insect that is an obligate ectoparasite of humans. The creatures usually live in your pubic hair, but may also live on other hairy parts of the body as well — including the eyelashes.

Unlike lice, the crab louse can’t jump and its exclusive diet is of your blood. Although a closely related species hangs out in gorillas (Pthirus gorilla), these little guys are only found on humans.
