John Stoehr’s writing is apparently everywhere (the New York Daily News, the Guardian, Al Jazeera, etc.), but this is the first I’ve heard of him, thanks to a hundred-part Twitter series that’s getting a lot of attention.
With the hashtags #DoubleStandard and #Sexism, Stoehr created an archive of examples showing characteristics and comments Donald Trump’s supporters give him a pass on – things they’d use to crucify Hillary Clinton if the roles were reversed.
It’s not hard to find legitimate reasons to criticize, or even want to abstain from voting for Hillary. But Trump and his ilk’s line of attack against the Democratic nominee has become a phenomenon of its own, and to ignore it would be morally wrong.
