Evangelical leader: Christians should become teachers so they can infiltrate public schools

During an appearance on the Truth and Liberty Coalition’s weekly livestream, the Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins urged his fellow Christians to pull their children out of public schools, but at the same time to see public schools as a “mission field” ripe for converting students, adding that Christians should become teachers in order to infiltrate them.

During the interview, Truth and Liberty Coalition founder Andrew Wommack said that public schools are “nearly across the board ungodly,” prompting Perkins to reply that Christian parents should never allow their children to attend public schooling.

“I say this honestly,” Perkins said. “If you could just teach your kids to read and do basic math and never go inside the walls of a school, they would be better off than sending them to 12 years to a public school. And I’m not exaggerating. I believe that.”
