Failed launch of Mike Lindell’s social media platform cost him almost $1 million

MyPillow CEO and pro-Trump conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell reportedly spent almost $1 million to launch his “FrankSpeech” social media platform — a launch that was riddled with glitches and website errors, Newsweek reports.

Leaked screenshots obtained by Newsweek show Lindell spent over $936,000 on equipment charges, hourly fees and other costs tied to the development of the website.

“Monday’s glitchy relaunch is not the first time that Lindell’s platform has faltered in the weeks since he announced its creation,” Newsweek reports. “Last Thursday, the streaming and posting service went offline entirely just days after a messy initial launch on April 19. Lindell and the Tennessee-based promotion company World View Weekend have touted ‘Frank’ as a conservative-leaning alternative to such platforms as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.”
