A teacher who was employed at a Christian school in Florida was arrested last Tuesday over an incident back in April where she allegedly “twerked” on a student, WFLA reports.
Julie Hoover, 39, allegedly danced on the underaged student during the school prom on April 8 Point of Grace Christian School. Speaking to police, the student said Hoover also pressured him to drink alcohol, which was on hand solely for school staff.
At least two other people tried to stop Hoover during the incident. She was later arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and an authority figure soliciting or engaging in lewd conduct with a student.
Hoover has a history of misconduct. Last June, she was arrested for allegedly sexting an 18-year-old high school senior. In that case, the student’s mother told police that she found the messages on the teen’s phone, which allegedly included a plan to sneak the student into Hoover’s home while her husband was at work.
