Florida cop responds to man’s 911 call — steals his credit cards after he dies

A Florida police officer has been fired and charged after she responded to a man’s 911 call and stole his credit card information, Fox35 reported.

Dianna Ferreira, 25, who was a patrol officer with the St. Cloud Police Department, has been charged with fraud and other charges after she responded to a man’s home on April 3, 2023 after he called emergency services and said he was having trouble breathing. The man died the next day.

On April 14, the man’s wife called the St. Cloud Police after she saw suspicious charges on her husband’s credit card. The items charged were fuel, fast-food, and a hotel room. The card was also used at a salon for eyelash extensions but the charge was canceled. The woman said the charges started coming in the day after her husband died.

Officers identified a vehicle and description which matched Ferreira’s vehicle, forcing her to eventually admit that she took photos of the man’s cards when she responded to his 911 call.

“We arrested her with her handcuffs. I think it’s very important that the community knows that. This is a direct insult to us,” St. Cloud Police Chief Douglas Goerke said.
