This past July, attendees at the famed geekfest Comic Con were given a rare treat: a long forgotten blooper reel from the original Star Wars film.
The footage was discovered by editor and author J.W. Rinzler while he was sifting through archives for a “making of” series on the Star Wars Trilogy. Originally, the blooper reel was not intended to be released widely, but somehow it ended up on Youtube.
There’s a lot of goodies that Star Wars fanatics are sure to love: Han Solo flubbing a line and proceeding to eat his headset, Obi Wan Kenobi getting the hairy arm of a Wookie in his face when trying to shoot a scene, even Grand Moff Tarkin affectionately grasping for Princess Leia’s cute shoulders when he can’t remember what planet to blackmail her with.
