Fox News host grills GOP congressman: ‘What happened to the Republican Party backing the blue?’

During a segment on Fox & Friends this Thursday, Louisiana GOP Rep. Steve Scalise faced some tough questioning from Fox News host Steve Doocy, who asked him why Republicans have taken such an adversarial tone towards law enforcement, namely the FBI and the Department of Justice.

Doocy pointed out to Scalise that there are numerous people “online and elsewhere,” including some Republicans, “who are demonizing the FBI.” Doocy then rattled off a list of GOP lawmakers, including Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who’ve called for the destruction of the federal agency.

“I’m just curious, whatever happened to the Republican Party backing the blue?” Doocy said. “And in particular, the 35 members of [federal law enforcement] at the FBI?”

Scalise replied that Republicans are indeed “very strong supporters of law enforcement,” but added that it “concerns everybody if you see some agents fo rogue.”

“Steve, who went rogue?” Doocy interjected. “They were following a search warrant.”
