Franklin Graham: I’m not a homophobe — I’m just trying to stop gays from going to hell

Franklin Graham is apparently still steamed over the fact that virtually all his speaking engagements in the UK have been canceled after each of the venues involved were alerted to his anti-LGBTQ sentiments. Graham, who has claimed that teaching LGBTQ history is “an affront to God,” and that parents “should keep their kids home” if public schools are teaching this, is claiming he’s not homophobic.

Instead, he’s blaming “truthophobic” and “free-speech-ophobic” gay rights activists for getting him canned.

The Trump-supporting evangelical pastor took to Facebook to complain “my eight-city evangelistic tour across the UK has been met with resistance by LGBTQ activists who inaccurately claim that I am homophobic, Islamophobic, and say that I speak hate. Anyone who knows me or has heard me speak knows that this really isn’t true — but, I DO preach the TRUTH of the Gospel.”

Graham also had this to say in his Facebook post:

“One person commented ‘How is Christianity a hatred speech, when you’re trying to save people from HELL?’ He’s right.”
