Franklin Graham: ‘Pray for President Putin today’

In a post to his Facebook page, Christian evangelist Franklin Graham addressed the speculation surrounding Russian President Vladimir Putin’s intent to invade Ukraine.

At the outset of his post, Graham told his followers: “Pray for President Putin today.”

“This may sound like a strange request, and I might get some angry comments, but we need to pray that God would work in his heart so that war—and the loss of thousands of lives—could be avoided at all cost,” Graham wrote.

“May God give wisdom to the leaders involved in these talks and negotiations, as well as those advising them. Our prayers might make the difference between life and death.”

No prayers for President Biden? How about the Ukrainian people?

We’ll see if Graham’s plan works.
