George W. Bush says SNL impressions didn’t bother him at all

Like him or hate him, former president George W. Bush seems to be on a “Admit it: I’m not as bad as Trump” tour. While keeping in mind that he was at the helm of the worst foreign policy blunder in U.S. history, Bush does, when held up next to President Donald Trump, look sane.

This Thursday night, Bush appeared on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live to plug his new book featuring his painting of veterans. Although Bush made a point not to criticize Barack Obama during his presidency, the 43rd POTUS isn’t holding back when it comes to sending subtle digs at Trump.

When Kimmel brought up Alec Baldwin’s genius portrayals of Trump on SNL, Bush said he wasn’t bothered “at all” when lampooned by comedians, adding that “the best humor is when you make fun of yourself.”

“Tell that to the president; he doesn’t think so,” Kimmel replied, referring to Trump’s infamous Twitter tantrums regarding SNL.
