Illinois Secretary of State candidate Dan Brady (R) has been linked to former President Donald Trump by his opponent Alexi Giannoulias (D). At the Illinois State Fair this Thursday, Brady was asked by a local reporter about his alleged support for Trump, and he replied that he couldn’t quite remember who he voted for in the 2020 election.
“Did you vote for Trump in 2020?” the reporter asked.
“Did I vote for President Trump in 2020?” Brady replied. “I don’t know if I voted for President Trump in 2020.”
“You don’t know?” the reporter pressed.
Brady then admitted that he likely did vote for Trump, but still acted as thought he couldn’t entirely be sure.
“In the general election, yes, I would’ve voted for him for president,” Brady said.
