Guy who thinks gays should either be cured or executed says liberals are too ‘narrow minded’

Tony Perkins of the anti-LGBT lobbying group the Family Research Council could easily be lumped into Hillary Clinton’s characterization of Donald Trump supporters as “deploribles.”

As Right Wing Watch points out, Perkins’ ‘deplorable’ views are pretty expansive:

He’s voiced support for Uganda’s “Kill the Gays” bill.

He’s claimed that gay youth have a higher suicide rate because they know they’re “abnormal.”

He thinks homosexuality has a “pedophilia problem.”

He’s said that LGBT rights gains in the U.S. has led to an increased amount of Christian persecution.

He thinks gays can be “cured.”

And as I wrote in August, he’s said that natural disasters and national tragedies are God’s way of letting us know that gay = bad.

The list goes on.

Considering these views, it’s amusing to hear Perkins talk about the “narrow-minded language” that allegedly comes from liberals. Appearing on the Fox News Business Network this week, Perkins addressed Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” comment.

“I think it shows how narrow-minded, isolated the liberal progressive wing of the Democratic party [has] become, where they feel like they can insult anyone, silence anyone who does not agree with their progressive agenda,” Perkins asserted.

Perkins, who is an avowed Donald Trump supporter, should look to his own base when it comes to “narrow minded” thinking.
