A throng of protesters calling for the reopening of Colorado’s economy ran into a pair of healthcare workers in scrubs who blocked a road near the State Capitol this Sunday.

Photojournalist Alyson McClaran captured images of the confrontation and posted them to Facebook. “They were blocking the roads until the police force stepped in,” she told The New York Times. “People were putting their cars right up against them.”

A video posted to Twitter showed a woman hanging out of her car window, yelling at one of the healthcare workers.

“Go to China if you want communism,” the woman can be heard saying.

“You can go to work why can’t I go to work?” she asks.

The Denver protest was one of many that popped up around the U.S. this weekend, where people spouting right-wing rhetoric and conspiracy theories showed up at state capitols to demand that life get back to normal.
