Nancy Gordeuk, who is also the founder of TNT Academy, took to the podium after realizing that she had accidentally cut the ceremonies short before the valedictorian could make his speech.
Gordeuk initially apologized for the confusion and asked people who were exiting the hall to return. Clearly losing patience from her inability to control the crowd, she then angrily referred to someone as a “coward” and began to berate the audience.
“You people are being so rude to not listen to this speech. It was my fault that we missed it in the program. Look who’s leaving — all the black people!” she said, prompting an angry response from the audience, even causing some on the stage to get up and leave.
TNT Academy is a “nontraditional educational center” in the predominantly African American city of Stone Mountain.
