Huma Abedin officially cuts off Weiner

In the wake of the most recent photos surfacing of Anthony Weiner sexting a woman while his son lay in bed next to him, his wife Huma Abedin has announced that she’s finally calling it quits.

After finding her on Twitter, Weiner had sent a woman more than a dozen suggestive selfies. They had also exchanged a number of overtly sexually direct messages. The woman, a Donald Trump supporter that often uses Twitter to bash Hillary Clinton and President Obama, reportedly lives out west with her boyfriend. She and Weiner never met in person.

The disgraced former representative accidentally outed himself for similar behavior in 2011 and was forced to resign from Congress. Following his first social media sexting scandal, he claimed that therapy had changed him, only to be caught at it again using the pseudonym “Carlos Danger” in 2013.

Abedin, who has been traveling the country as a personal aide to Clinton, said in a statement:

“After long and painful consideration and work on my marriage, I have made the decision to separate from my husband. Anthony and I remain devoted to doing what is best for our son, who is the light of our life. During this difficult time, I ask for respect for our privacy.”

Weiner has also been dropped from the New York Daily News. Opinion editor Josh Greenman told The Daily Beast that they will no longer be running his column.
