Idaho’s Lt Governor: ‘God calls us to pick up the sword and fight — Christ will reign in the state of Idaho’

According to the East Idaho News, Idaho Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin, who is the first woman to fill the office, “has fostered a national profile for her unconventional and outspoken approach to the job, drawing comparisons to right-wing firebrands such as U.S. Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Georgia, and Lauren Boebert, R-Colorado. Each rode the “Make America Great Again” wave under former President Donald Trump that propelled a number of far-right candidates into office. All three politicos now carry the highly sought-after endorsement of America’s polarizing 45th president.”

Now, McGeachin is trying to ride that Trump endorsement all the way to the office of Idaho’s governor. This weekend, McGeachin sat down with far-right Red Voice Media host Stew Peters, who told her that one of the things that caused him to support her is the fact that she’s so outspoken about her faith.

“God has a plan for our state,” she said. “And we will just need to grasp that vision, that plan that God has for our state and follow that and not be afraid to speak up for what we believe in.”

In a clip flagged by Right Wing Watch, McGeachin declared that “God calls us to pick up the sword and fight, and Christ will reign in the state of Idaho.
