In the wake of its disastrous election coverage of 2012, Fox News has decided not to renew its contract with political commentator Dick Morris.
Morris was an adviser and close friend to President Bill Clinton during his administration, but later became one of the Clintons’ fiercest critics in the media. He supported Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney during the 2012 elections, and made a notable prediction that Romney would beat President Obama in a landslide.
Morris is the second eye-opening departure at Fox, after it was made known Sarah Palin would not be returning either. Reports from inside sources say that Fox CEO Roger Ailes was fed-up with Palin’s many on-air gaffes.
There is also speculation that there is a coming shift to the center at the conservative-leaning network in response to the electoral demographic changes that hurt the GOP in 2012.
