Right-wing conspiracists are obsessed with an anonymous 8chan user who goes by the handle “QAnon” because they think he/she is a high level member of the Trump administration. As Right Wing Watch points out, one of these conspiracists is InfoWars reporter Jermome Corsi, who has devoted most of his time to “decoding” QAnon’s posts.
In the wake of the official release of former Barack Obama’s presidential portrait, the crackpot wing of far-right media went into a collective freakout. Most notable was Sean Hannity of Fox News, who claimed there’s hidden sexual innuendos within the portrait. In a tweet and an article posted to his website, both of which have now been deleted, Hannity claimed that a “secret sperm” was secretly inserted into the painting.
Of course, Corsi jumped right into the false controversy, claiming that the foliage in the background of the painting symbolizes “the pedophilia that they’re engaging in.”
“That is one of the weirdest presidential portraits I have ever seen,” Corsi declared. “It’s a bizarre picture.”
“It’s a reference to the loss of virginity in terms of a physical sense,” he continued. “It’s a very physical reference to loss of virginity.”
“This whole elite globalist pedophilia is a major theme that [QAnon] continues to remind us underlies a lot of these globalists that we are dealing with. The fact that they are sitting on flowers and the deflowering could be easily an image of the pedophilia that they’re engaging in or the slavery pedophilia, you know, tend your gardens everybody, their slave gardens.”
