While reeling from his inability to process credit card payments due to processing companies reacting to reports of his promotion of bogus coronavirus cures, televangelist Jim Bakker, told his audience this Wednesday that he’s being persecuted over die-hard support for President Trump — die-hard support that he says is going to get preachers like him killed.
“We supported the president, and so they want to destroy me,” Bakker said in a video clip flagged by Right Wing Watch. “God spoke to me a year ago or more that the next thing that’s going to happen is that people are going to kill preachers who believe in the Bible, that believe the whole Bible is the truth.”
“I’m very serious [about] it,” he added. “I know what’s coming. I know what the Spirit of God is saying.”
