Jim Bakker says that televangelism scandals are actually the secret work of witches

Jim Bakker, accused rapist and American televangelist who went to prison for fraud, announced this week that scandals surrounding televangelism may be the work of witches.

Jim Bakker, accused rapist and American televangelist who went to prison for fraud, announced on The Jim Bakker Show this week that scandals surrounding televangelism may be the work of witches.

Bakker recalled a story that a “man of God” told him upon his release from prison. According to Bakker, the man was sitting next to a declared witch on an airplane, who claimed her coven would destroy the television ministry, starting with Jim Bakker.

“She said, ‘Right now, all the witches … They’re all agreeing they’re going to destroy the television ministries and we’re starting with Jim Bakker. And we are all praying, praying to destroy him,’” Bakker said.

Bakker went on to say that you “see [preachers and ministers] going through troubles and you desert some pastor who’s been caught in something… and you don’t know that all the demons in hell brought whatever, whether it be sex, drugs, or women or whatever.”

Rick Wiles, Bakker’s guest and End Times broadcaster, suggested to Bakker that he talk to former satanist John Ramirez. According to Wiles, Ramirez admitted that pastors and ministers were “zeroed in on” for “preaching the word of god.”

I would guess that this female is a figment of Bakker’s imagination, or she was having fun with the mind of Bakker’s alleged informant. These guys love to blame “the devil” for their own transgressions. Regardless, Bakker is ready to return to society and restart his scam.

So a convicted conman relates a second-hand conversation and expects thinking people to believe his bullsh*t? I am more disappointed in DeadState for giving Bakker an audience for his deranged musings.

I agree with Perry; why give this con artist any attention? He’ always been a wack job.His late ex-wife Tammy Faye was a sweetheart with a caring heart, and she was one of the first conservatives to give gays a supportive audience. Bakker has never been out for anyone other than himself. He has survived as a preacher by fleecing his flock, and by spitting in the face of Jesus’ message of love and compassion for all.

Ah, Jim was always entertaining. He’s an old rock dj that found God, and a new way to make a buck. I enjoyed the old show, with Tammy freaking out and crying and singing. Religion is nonsense, and everybody that believes in it starts seeing the “devil” or “the enemy” in everything at some point. So, he couldn’t keep his thing in his pants. Neither could Jerry Lee Lewis’s cousin, Jimmy Swaggart. They blame it on the devil, of course. Self Righteous moralists fall harder than the rest of the usual folks and more often. I just watched the movie “ZIPPER” on Hulu starring Patrick Wilson, about a morally upright politician who dated hookers on the sly. Good movie.

When are these “so-called” preachers going to accept responsibility for their own actions instead of blaming it on “He/She” made me do it!
Sounds suspiciously like a 5 year old.

He completely missed the point that Witches do not pray. So it is very clear that he is simply making crap up to avoid being accountable for his own behavior.

One would have thought that going to prison would have given him time to reflect on his sins. Guess he needs more ‘time’.

He’s been out of prison for over 18 years. He’s remarried and they have adopted five “inner city” children from Arizona. Yes, he actually has his own tv show again. It is broadcasted out of Branson, Mo, where he has a ministry on 700 acres. I saw a billboard ad for his program about 6 yrs ago when I was vacationing in Branson. (Cough, cough) The Devil stays busy! Smh!

Christians learned all that they know about witches based on confessions extracted under torture during the witch burnings in the middle ages. How reliable do you think the Christian body of knowledge about witches is?
