John Oliver explains why that Facebook privacy statement is the dumbest thing in history

If you still think that posting bogus disclaimers on your social media profile is going to protect you from the terms of service that all users are subject too, there’s probably no hope for you ever being a coherently informed human being.

If Facebook wants to use your content in some way you don’t like, your only options are to stop posting altogether or just to simply quit Facebook.

Comedy Central’s John Oliver summed things up brilliantly last night:
