Josh Duggar releases statement regarding Ashley Madison revelations

This morning, one day after the revelations surrounding his subscription to the infidelity dating website AshleyMadison.com, Josh Duggar released a statement posted to his family’s website.

The statement began with an introduction from Josh’s mom, Michelle Duggar, who said the family’s “hearts were broken” when they heard the recent news.

“As we continue to place our trust in God we ask for your prayers for Josh, Anna, our grandchildren and our entire family,” she wrote.

Duggar paid a total of $986.76 for two different monthly Ashley Madison subscriptions starting in February of 2013 and abruptly ending in May of 2015. AshleyMadison.com is a website designed for people looking to have extramarital affairs.

[UPDATE: 8/20/15, 4:04pm PST]: Someone, presumably Josh, updated his statement to exclude his mention of pornography addiction. You can see the updated version in the screenshot below:
