Kanye West showed up unannounced to Skechers’ offices in LA and was promptly escorted out

Kanye West showed up unannounced at the Los Angeles offices of the shoemaking giant Skechers and was prompted escorted out of the building by two executives, CNBC reports.

In a statement released by Skechers says the company “is not considering and has no intention of working with West.”

“We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate antisemitism or any other form of hate speech. The Company would like to again stress that West showed up unannounced and uninvited to Skechers corporate offices,” the statement read.

According to Skechers, West “was engaged in unauthorized filming,” prompting the two Skechers executives to escort him “and his party from the building after a brief conversation.”

As TMZ points out, Skechers is owned and operated by a Jewish family. A spokesperson told TMZ that the company “is not considering and has no intention of working with West. We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate antisemitism or any other form of hate speech. Again, West showed up unannounced and uninvited to Skechers corporate offices.”

From TMZ:

We’re guessing Kanye’s goal was for Skechers to be his new partner for the Yeezy shoe brand — working both as a manufacturer and distributor, as Adidas did before it dropped him this week. Well, he struck out.
