During an interview with CNN this Sunday, Arizona candidate for governor Kari Lake (R) refused to say if she’d accept the election results if she were lose, only saying that she’d accept them if she wins.
After being asked three times by State of the Union’s Dana Bash if she would accept the election’s results, Lake replied, “I’m going to win the election, and I will accept that result.”
“If you lose, will you accept that?” Bash asked.
“I’m going to win the election, and I will accept that result,” Lake replied.
According to CNN, Lake has repeatedly promoted former President Donald Trump’s false claims about the 2020 election was “stolen.” Lake, a former news anchor at a local Fox station in Phoenix, has said that she would not have certified President Joe Biden’s 2020 victory in Arizona. On Sunday, she said that the “real issue” is that “the people don’t trust our elections.”
