Kyle Rittenhouse begs fans for money: ‘My legal bills are piling up’

In a post to Twitter this Wednesday, Kyle Rittenhouse told his followers that he’s facing another lawsuit and his legal bills are mounting.

In his tweet, Rittenhouse shared a link to fundraiser on the Christian donation site GiveSendGo. As of this writing, the fundraiser has garnered just over $124,000 in donations.

“I am being sued again by Gaige as well as the Huber family now. the legal bills are piling up and I need your help you can donate by going to,” Rittenhouse wrote.

As Newsweek points out,  a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the father of Anthony Huber, who was shot and killed by Rittenhouse during riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, back in 2020, was allowed to proceed by a Wisconsin federal judge. Rittenhouse, who was armed with an AR-15-style assault rifle, also shot and killed 36-year-old Joseph Rosenbaum. The third person he shot, Gaige Grosskreutz, was shot in the arm and survived. Grosskreutz admitted during court testimony that he pointed a gun at Rittenhouse before he was shot.

“Astonishingly, the Kenosha Police Department, Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, their supervising officials and police officers, and law enforcement officers from surrounding communities did not treat Defendant Rittenhouse or any of the other armed individuals patrolling the streets as a threat to the safety of themselves or the citizens they were sworn to protect,” Grosskreutz’s lawsuit stated.

“Instead, the law enforcement Defendants deputized these armed individuals, conspired with them, and ratified their actions by letting them patrol the streets, armed with deadly weapons, to mete out justice as they saw fit,'” said the lawsuit.
