Lin Wood — the pro-Trump purveyor of voter fraud conspiracies — is under investigation for voter fraud

Pro-Trump attorney Lin Wood has been at the forefront of false claims regarding mass voter fraud in the 2020 election. Now, according to an exclusive report from WSB-TV in Atlanta, the state of Georgia is investigating him for voting illegally in November.

WSB-TV reporter Justin Gray confirmed this Tuesday that the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office launched an investigation into whether Wood was eligible to vote in Georgia and if he broke the law by casting his ballot while not being a Georgia resident. Sources speaking to WSB-TV say an email Wood sent to Gray caused the Georgia Secretary of State’s office to launch an official investigation.

“I have been domiciled in South Carolina for several months after purchasing property in the state in April,” Wood allegedly wrote in the email.

That statement alone raises the question of whether he was legally allowed to vote in Georgia during the November election. As WSB-TV points out, a section of Georgia code reads: “If a person removes to another state with the intention of making it such person’s residence, such person shall be considered to have lost such person’s residence in this state.”

In a statement sent to Gray, Wood said the investigation is “pure harassment.”

“I have been a resident of the State of Georgia since 1955. I changed my residency to South Carolina yesterday,” Wood stated. “This is pure harassment by the Georgia Secretary of State because I have revealed credible evidence of election fraud on the part of Brad Raffensperger.”
