Liz Cheney to Marjorie Taylor Greene: You sound like ‘the Kremlin and their useful idiots’

Wyoming GOP Rep. Liz Cheney took a swipe at Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene after she posted a video equating Ukraine with Russia, saying “both sides” have violated peace agreements.

“This is an 8-year-long smoldering conflict in which peace agreements have been routinely violated by both sides,” Greene says in the video, where she suggests that the U.S. is recklessly hurtling towards nuclear war by opposing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. Greeen also claimed that the U.S. is getting involved because prominent American leaders have “direct financial interests” in Ukraine.

Cheney shared a clip of Greene’s speech and accused her of regurgitating Russian propaganda.

“Putin is targeting and slaughtering civilians in a brutal unprovoked war against Ukraine, a sovereign democratic nation,” Cheney tweeted on Thursday morning. “Only the Kremlin and their useful idiots would call that ‘a conflict in which peace agreements have been violated by both sides.'”
