Donald Trump raised a few eyebrows Wednesday morning with a swipe at comedian Jon Stewart.
From his personal Twitter account, Trump made sure to refer to Stewart by his real name, Jonathan Leibowitz, which in turn caused many to wonder if Trump felt Stewart’s Jewish heritage was an issue.
According to Wonkette’s Rebecca Schoenkopf, Trump’s tweet shows a history of anti-Semitic comments and harassment of women and gay employees, pointing out that according to the real estate mogul’s former wife Ivana, Trump “from time to time reads a book of Hitler’s collected speeches, ‘My New Order,’ which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed.”
Trump has also made questionable comments about African Americans, which bolsters the suspicions of many critics who see a pattern.
