In a now-deleted tweet in the wake of the death of civil rights icon and Georgia Democratic Rep. John Lewis, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) shared a photo of the late Senator Elijah Cummings (D-MD), a mistake that unsurprisingly invited a wave of mockery from Twitter.

Rubio also changed his Twitter profile picture to the photo of him with Cummings. While the photo remained up for a time after the initial tweet was deleted, he later swapped it out for another picture.
Lewis passed this Friday, seven months after a routine medical visit revealed that he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Cummings, also a noted civil rights champion, died in October of last year.
Update:
Rubio has acknowledged the mistake and has tweeted a photo with the actual John Lewis. He also updated his profile picture with the same photo.
