Marjorie Taylor Greene: Telecom companies will be ‘shut down’ if they hand over GOP’s text messages to Jan 6 commission

Speaking on Fox News this Tuesday, Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said that telecommunication companies that comply with the January 6 commission’s request to hand over Republicans’ messages would be “shut down.”

“If these telecommunications companies, if they go along with this, they will be shut down. And that’s a promise,” Greene told Tucker Carlson on Tucker Carlson Tonight. She wasn’t specific how she could get the companies “shut down,” however.

According to Greene, the Jan. 6 commission is on a politically motivated “witch hunt.”

“If members of Congress can have their personal cellphone data exposed … just to hurt us politically in the next election, then we are going into a dangerous place in this country,” she said.

Greene went on to predict that when the GOP take the majority in the House in the 2022 midterms, it “will take this very serious.”
